# Study 000J Methods

Study `000J` was built from the outdoor boundary-expression archive already assembled in `000F`, then read through the support-factor logic established in `000H` and the adaptive-envelope theory from `000I`.

The question was not whether embedding matters. `000H` already answered that.

The new question was:

`When embedding support and bout length diverge, which factor carries more weight in preserving low-burden expression?`

The main strategy was:

1. inspect all 8 outdoor boundary-expression cases together
2. isolate the early 2025 divergence case where long-versus-short bout structure separated more cleanly than embedding
3. compare that against the later specialized state where embedding and distance both moved together

This is therefore a mechanism-ranking study, not a broad adaptation study.
