Welcome in. If you’re here, you probably just heard the word clubfoot at an ultrasound or pediatric visit, and you’re trying to figure out what to ask at that first appointment.

Here are some starter questions you can bring to your first clubfoot or Ponseti visit:

    • How many clubfoot patients do you treat in a typical year?
    • Do you use the Ponseti method for all clubfoot cases, including bilateral?
    • About how many casts do you expect for a case like my child’s?
    • What is your tenotomy process like (where is it done, what kind of anesthesia, how long does it take)?
    • How long will my child wear the boots & bar in the first year, and then after that?
    • What red flags should make us call or come in right away between visits?

You don’t have to ask them all at once. You can screenshot or print this list and just choose the ones that matter most right now.

    If you’re comfortable, share:

    • How old your baby is (or how many weeks pregnant you are).
    • Whether the clubfoot is one foot or both.
    • Anything your team has already told you that you’re unsure about.

This space is parent‑to‑parent support. Nothing here replaces your own medical team, but it can help you walk into that first visit with better questions and less panic.
